Job Description:

The Department of Art and Design, offers a BA degree, BFA degree and minor in studio practices including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and graphic design. The department is an academic unit within Harpur, an outstanding liberal arts college that forms the core of Binghamton University.

The Department of Art and Design at Binghamton University (SUNY) invites applications for adjunct positions in Graphic Design. The candidates must demonstrate potential in scholarship and teaching at all levels of the curriculum. The initial appointment is one semester with possible renewal.

We seek applicants with MFA in Graphic Design, knowledge of graphic design theory and methodology, typography, print and web design, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A fluency in Mac OS, Adobe CC, and other industry-standard print and web design software is required. The position includes teaching all levels of graphic design classes from 2D design, beginning-to-advanced typography, print and web design; assisting in maintaining digital equipment/resources, contribute to developing strong culture of design research and practice in the department and advising students.


We require an MFA in graphic design or equivalent terminal degree, and college teaching experience.
