The Nielsen Company Training and Design Consultant in New Jersey

Contribute to overall client satisfaction, relationship building and revenue attainment by designing and delivering training programs to internal and client users through an energetic and positive learning experience that educates and excites trainees about the value of Nielsen products and services.

Job Responsibilities

Client Management, Strategy & Facilitation

· Apply market and industry knowledge to design and develop Nielsen training programs

· Work across Nielsen Business Units including Business Technology Services (BTS), Marketing, Product Leadership, Project Management and Client Service to gather and ensure seamless alignment of client training needs and learning objectives during and after product deployment

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders and subject matter experts to design blended learning offerings for clients

· Independently and effectively communicate the value and benefits of Nielsen tools and solutions, and the application of these addressing key business questions

· Conduct instructor-led, classroom and on-line software and soft skills training to support Nielsen products and services

· Employ engaging facilitation skills to deliver training sessions that inspire confidence in trainees to leverage their new skills in order to drive better business results

· Display confidence and maintain professional demeanor in stressful or unplanned situations including working through technical issues and responding to client questions during session

· Participate in collaborative cross team forums to create and promote the development of best practices

· Actively participate in and identify opportunities for efficiencies, automation, standardization and ways to simplify processes

Instructional Design

· Design and develop eLearning and instructor-led training content using Articulate Storyline and Microsoft Office tools

· Design and develop reference materials including videos and job aids using PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Cloud (Premier), Camtasia, Screencast-o-matic, and other software

· Create custom client presentations to simplify learning of complex Nielsen products and data

Curriculum and Subject Matter Expertise

· Customize curriculums on-the-fly as needed based on client trainee needs

· Evolve deep subject matter expertise across several solution(s), tool(s) or curriculum(s) in order to support/manage curriculum creation or refresh and to support the professional development of a high performing facilitation team by sharing expertise, coaching and mentoring associates

Leadership & Personal Development

· Coach team members in the facilitation of curriculum, and ensure client learning objectives are met

· Support the professional development of a high performing team by modeling Nielsen Leadership traits, sharing expertise, coaching and mentoring junior level associates and providing timely, regular feedback

· Contribute to the creation of an environment team members are proud to be a part of and others want to join

· Champion a culture of strategic collaboration across the Nielsen organization

  • College/University Undergraduate or Masters Degree

  • 5-7 years of industry experience – CPG, consulting, information, technology, analytics and/or training

  • Strong project management skills to coordinate multiple projects at once

  • Experience building strong rapport with clients and/or trainees in short-term situations

  • Self-starter with the ability to deliver results

  • Demonstrated strength in presenting or facilitating training to groups of all sizes

  • Highly proficient in either a general subject area and/or a proprietary Nielsen solution(s) or tool(s)

  • Previous Nielsen client service or practice area, CPG or training experience

  • Strong professional presence and confidence to work with senior leaders

  • Experience technical content into an engaging and interactive learning experiences

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to travel 25 - 35% of time

  • Understanding of adult learning principles, preferred

  • Strong training / learning background, preferred

  • Experience using Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Cloud (Premier), Camtasia, and Screencast-o-matic, preferred
