Darigold has a very unique opportunity for a seasoned and motivated supply chain professional to join our team as our new Manager of Supply Chain Design. Darigold has a unique opportunity for a seasoned and motivated supply chain professional to build an internal supply chain design capability from the ground up.

The manager, along with the rest of the Supply Chain Analytics and Continuous Improvement team, will help lead the way in making a 10X step change improvement in the way Darigold’s supply chain generates, consumes, and leverages data in pursuit of our goal of becoming a world class data-driven supply chain organization. The Manager of Supply Chain Design must have a passion for designing, building, and running complex supply chain models used for long term capital planning and strategic level operational improvement initiatives involving transportation, warehousing, product flow, inventory optimization and network design.

Essential duties and responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

  • Define and deliver supply chain design solutions using commercial and/or internally developed software and algorithms.

  • Structure, validate, analyze, and manage large amounts of data specific to Supply Chain analytical projects, problem solving, and decision support.

  • Apply practical logistics and supply chain knowledge to identify supply chain network design, process flow, and cost improvement opportunities.

  • Build analytical models related to facility location, distribution flow, vehicle routing, and inventory strategy.

  • Develop clear, concise, and insightful data-driven presentation materials and communicate (both written and verbal) to a variety of audiences at all levels within the business.

  • Work effectively with team members across all business functions to fully understand capabilities, functions, and gaps with the goal of delivering solutions to key business problems.

  • Participate in and/or lead discrete projects related to department and organizational goals.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Passion for working with data and a vision on how data can be utilized as a competitive advantage.

  • Demonstrated analytical problem solving skills and expertise.

  • Proficient at performing ETL activities including extracting, cleansing, normalizing, and manipulating large complex datasets.

  • Knowledge of the principles of optimization and how optimization is performed using software packages.

  • Understanding of simulation and the differences between optimization and simulation.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering solutions in the areas of network optimization, inventory optimization, product flow analysis, operations planning, and cost to serve analysis.

  • Advanced skills in Excel (including VBA), SQL, R, Python or other analytical tools for data extraction and analysis.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc).

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong visual presentation skills as related to reports, scorecards, dashboards and presentations.

  • Experience modeling with Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru highly preferred.

    Education, Experience and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, operations research, supply chain management or similar quantitative discipline. Master’s in above fields preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning and design.

  • Data Science certificate is a plus.
