Job Description

Volt seeks talented Mechanical Designers for our Client located in Anaheim, CA. The Mechanical is to carry out the design and documentation of mechanical , plumbing , and utility systems . Conduct building system assessments and inspections to evaluate conditions, operations and maintenance requirements of building mechanical and plumbing systems, design systems to comply with various project scopes of work in accordance with applicable standards and regulations including the California Mechanical Code and Plumbing Code. Design systems including calculations, drawings, and submittals.

Review system designs developed by project design teams for accuracy, compliance with company standards and guiding principles, quality and completeness. Recommend system improvements, enhancements and replacements. Proactively interface and consult with Resort lines of business, engineering services teams, and project managers to provide world class engineering support. Provide technical assistance to maintenance issues on mechanical and plumbing systems. Maintain accurate documentation on mechanical, plumbing, and utility system configurations and capacities. Support to capital projects. Ensure projects comply with codes, e.g. CBC, CMC, CPC, NFPA, ASTM, EPA, OSHA, DOSH, applicable insurance underwriter requirements, and Client Resort standards.


  • High school graduate and at least two (2) years college - mechanical engineering courses *8-10 years design experience on or around mechanical, plumbing, and utility systems, pneumatics, & hydraulics

  • Proficient in CAD software packages; minimum of 5-10 years’ experience

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; minimum of three years’ experience

  • Proficient in developing correct form, fit & function of designs

  • Proficient in design & detail of components & assemble &make supporting analysis

  • Familiarity with maintenance requirements & procedures

  • Proficient in materials selection & application

  • Proficient in using measuring devices such as scales, calipers, & micrometers

  • Proficient in configuration & document management

  • Proven knowledge of California Mechanical Code and Plumbing Code

  • Proven minimum two (2) years’ experience working with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)


  • Accuracy, focus, productivity, good communication skills

  • Ability to work with tight schedules *Familiarity with SmarTeam software *Proficient in geometric dimensioning & tolerancing *Knowledge of architectural/facility drawing CAD standards & requirements


  • HS w/ 2 Year Degree
