W.B. Mason Company, Inc. Senior UX Designer in Boston, Massachusetts
We are looking for a dynamic and self-starting User Experience Design professional, who can also help grow a UX team here at WB Mason. This role will primarily contribute to the design of our eCommerce solutions, but will also assist teams responsible for the design and development of our internal systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Mentor existing team members including designers and development staff.
Promote design / UX aspects to development team and throughout the organization.
Conduct competitive analysis, user interviews, and develop customer personas to inform user-centered insights for final deliverables
Contribute to the information architecture our eCommerce platform, including the mobile customer experience
Iterate and produce low and high fidelity wireframes for various platforms – website, mobile, and internal applications
Generate interactive prototypes for business stakeholder presentations and customer usability testing
Lead user and stakeholder research activities to inform user-centered insights for final deliverables
Collaborate directly with business analysts, designers, project stakeholders, and development teams while continuing to advocate for the user’s experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience or equivalent training as a UX Designer, UX/UI Designer, Interaction Designer, or Product Designer
Portfolio that presents a range of design projects (on various platforms) and displays “design thinking” techniques
Experience working in a consulting firm and/or agency is preferred
Advanced proficiency in Sketch and Invision for design and rapid prototyping
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suites (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) is a bonus
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Education and/or Experience
Minimum of 1-3 years professional experience as UX Designer. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in IT/Computer Science/Development, related field and/or equivalent technical experience.
