Matrix Design Group, Inc., an employee-owned planning, engineering andenvironmental consulting firm is actively seeking a talented and motivatedCADD Designer for our Denver office.Summary:Responsible for providing engineering support to department by assisting withparts of engineering projects that assist in the design and entitlement ofmunicipal projects. Discipline involves preparing routine layouts, detaildrawings, assembly drawings, sketches and diagrams for a wide variety ofinfrastructure improvements. This includes transportation, floodplain andutility projects for local and state clients.Essential Functions: Under general supervision, with some exercise of judgment, preparescomputer-generated engineering drawings according to established standards andprocedures. Prepares civil engineering drawings from rough sketches or from generalengineering and design information (verbal instructions and notes) usingCADD software programs. Revises or changes drawings, traces and/or copies existing drawingsand completes simple calculations with specific instructions. Understands and follows the company's standard CADD procedures forlayering and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout. Quality checks all work and work of other designers to ensure complete andaccurate plans are provided to engineers. Maintains schedules and offers progress reports. Completes work within scope, schedule and budget limits.Competencies: Strong problem solving ability: identifies and resolve problems in atimely manner. Ability to communicate changes effectively. Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.Education and Experience: Minimum of an Associate's degree or certification in CADD or theequivalent job experience. Minimum of 6 years of experience as a CADD technician with civil emphasis. Experience with: general civil drafting, surfacedevelopment/manipulation, creating alignments, profiles and crosssections, civil plan set preparation. Proficient with AutoCAD and standard drafting practices.
