Job Description

Carollo Engineers is a premier environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking an individual with demonstrated leadership experience in water infrastructure projects to join our Design Build team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership, marketing, and business development expertise to enhance our ability to market and win Design Build projects

  • Lead and assist in marketing, managing, and leading Design Build pursuits

  • Mentoring and training of pursuit teams focused on prepositioning and marketing clients, preparing statements of qualifications, proposals, and interviews for Design Build projects

  • Provide focus on increasing Carollo’s presence in the Design Build water market, and will require travel throughout the United States

  • Identify and facilitate discussions with potential engineering and construction teaming partners

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated ability in developing marketing strategy, client development, project premarketing, and pursuit leadership

  • Ability to network with clients at conferences, trade shows and client meetings

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, and successfully market the Carollo brand

  • Ability to identify client critical concerns and develop pursuit strategies that directly address these concerns

  • Develop and mentor pursuit team members while delivering high quality marketing materials, statements of qualifications, proposal and interviews within pursuit budget and schedule constraints


Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or other technical field related to the water market sectors

  • 15 to 20 years of experience with multi-discipline project execution designing and managing medium to large-sized strategic pursuits, with responsibility for meeting budget, schedule, client service, and quality standards

  • Should have existing relationships with local and state municipal and private clients

Preferred Experience

  • Extensive experience with the development of client outreach plans, strategic marketing plans, and pursuit leadership for water infrastructure projects which involve a broad range of technical disciplines
