Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide product and application design recommendations to customers based on application analysis and design expertise

  • Be knowledgeable and able to apply IESNA, ABNT NBR ISO-CIE 8995 and relevant industry and segment guidelines, standards and regulatory trends and be able to translate these to the commercial team.

  • Have fixture/lamp/Control design knowledge and experience and be able to convey recommendations based on latest industry and technology developments

  • Have applications design software and photometric report expertise and be able to produce lighting designs that meet industry standards and customer specifications

  • Visit and technical survey of works

  • Able to apply principles and provide cost payback analysis to customer or commercial team based on application analysis recommendations

  • Strong Consultative abilities, leverages communication skills and experience to educate and direct end users and sales teammates to the right solution

  • Manage tasks and workflow within the team and align priorities with the sales team


  • Minimum 2 years experience in the lighting business/industry

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and AGI32

  • Ability to Use Microsoft Office and Adobe tools

  • Ability to clearly communicate with design team, sale team, agents, distributors and end users

  • Excellent Prioritization skills

Desired Characteristics:

  • Minimum 5 years in lighting industry with fixture company

  • Experience with use of Absolute photometry and systems of comparison between systems

  • Understanding delivery times and commitment to delivering Technical Solutions

  • Expertise in AutoCad and AGI32, Photoshop, Dialux

  • Lighting Sales Experience

  • Proven track record of indoor and outdoor and industrial lighting design with demonstrated extensive Body of Work (High visibility projects)

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
